Scope note
Daguerreotypes consisting of two similar images taken at slightly different angles that when viewed in tandem produce the illusion of depth. These were not uncommon, but were not ideal compared to paper-print based stereoscopic photographs owing to the reflective surface of daguerreoptypes, and the expense and fragility of the medium.
